POSITIVES FOR TOTTENHAM DESPITE TITLE DISAPPOINTMENT.
Tottenham’s challenge for the Premier League title looks to end in failure after the north London side drew 1-1 with West Brom at White Hart Lane on Monday night.
The draw means that Spurs are seven points behind league leaders Leicester, which means that the Foxes only need just three more points from their last three league games to be crowned the champions of England.
Despite their apparent failure to win the title this season Tottenham have enjoyed a fantastic campaign and even a second-place finish would be a major achievement for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, as they were considered outsiders to even claim a Champions League at the start of the season.
Tottenham pair Dele Alli and Harry Kane have been two of the stars of the campaign. Alli was recently crowned PFA Young Player of the Year and has enjoyed a stellar debut campaign in the Premier League. His outstanding year is likely to be capped by a place in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad.
Striker Harry Kane is also leading the race for the Premier League Golden Boot and has scored 24 times this season in the English top-flight. No doubt he will add more goals to his tally before the season is out.
Highly-rated boss Mauricio Pochettino looks to be building a highly-effective squad in north London and his side look like they could threaten at the top of the table for years to come, if they can keep their star players this summer.
Spurs may fail to win the Premier League title this season, but their fans will be very proud of their team and excited to see what is yet to come under Pochettino.
